Do you do printing?
No, we don’t provide that service. You can find a list of online printers we can recommend in the links page.
Do you do illustrations?
Our packages and prices do not include illustration designs. Please contact us to get our quotes on illustrations.
Why does the color look different when I print it?
Your personal printer doesn’t use exact colors that you see on the screen. You have to calibrate your printer with the screen first for the best match.
Why does the color change on different monitors when I view the samples?
The color you see on the screen depends a lot on the adjustments of the screen settings and color setup. It also depends on the brand and model of the monitor. Two identical monitors brand and model with the same settings will have slight color variation and intensity. There is no way to create a file that will show the same color on all the screens. Furthermore, when you print the file the color will change. (Refer to Why does the color look different when I print it? )
Does KOA Creatives have any rights over the logo design?
KOA Creatives doesn`t register or protect the logo design that it created for its` clients. We provide all the rights for the customers to register their logos. The client is responsible for protecting and registering the rights of his logo.
What software do you use to create logo designs?
KOA Creatives work with multiple Adobe software application.
Logo Design Process
When do you start working on my project?
We will start working on your project as soon as we receive your logo request and down payment.
How long does it take before I can see my samples?
Your samples will be presented to you within 10 days after we receive your payment, according to the package you choose.
How can I see my logo design samples?
After we receive your payment we will create the design presentation of your logo design samples and will send it through email, by the email address you provide us.
How many changes may I ask for my logo design?
Depends on the package you choose. There is always an options to request for extra revision rounds.
What if I have my own idea for the logo design?
Any ideas or requests for your future logo design you may indicate in your logo request. Please be as specific as possible. If not, we are creative professional that can come up with great new ideas for your logo.
Can you redo my existing logo design?
Yes. We are re-branding experts. Please provide us with the latest version of your logo design, and mention it in your logo request.
Do you make logo design for products, titles, or names?
Yes, we create any type of graphic identity.
Why my logo samples look less attractive than samples you have online?
We have a unique presentation. Every sample was carefully chosen and placed in the most favorable position on the page. A special background designed to enhance the viewing experience. This is not in any way done to confuse the viewer, but actually to show how the logo looks like in the optimal settings. We present your samples on a default white background unless otherwise specified in the order form.
Will you design a background for my logo?
The background is not a part of a logo. Background design is not included in any of the packages. It can be provided by request.
Who keeps the rights of the created logo design?
All the rights of the Artwork and Logos we create for our customers belong to our customers.
Logo Kit and Files
What files will I get if I order package?
You will get optimized bitmap files for the WEB: (*.GIF 72dpi, *.JPEG 150dpi, PNG-24 (transparent)) , high-resolution image (*.TIFF 300dpi), scalable vector files for printing (*.ai, *.pdf, *eps) in RGB colors.
What is a Word Template?
Word Template is a Microsoft Word file. We only provide letterhead design for the word template.
It contains almost exact replica of your original letterhead design, with an option to type in the body of the document and leaving all the graphical elements untouched. If you have Microsoft Word you can print this document on your local printer directly from your computer. However there are some limitations in quality and positioning.
What are the limitations of the word template?
Word template does not allow to embed a high quality vector graphic or a higher resolution bitmap file. Therefore the previewing and printing quality is not as high as the original vector files.
There is no option to implement bleeding in the word template document.
Some white space margins may be visible on your document. The size of the margins is determined by the program and the printer set up.
Will you provide me with scalable vector files?
Yes, we provide you with scalable vector files (AI, EPS, PDF).
What is a scalable vector file?
Vector files are files that you can resize, scale, and even change colors or fonts without loosing any quality or resolution on your image. It’s best to make GIFs or any other bitmap formats you may need for your web site. Vector files are mostly used by professional designers or print shops.
What is bitmap file?
Bitmap files are a more popular file that are the best to use on the Web. You may use them on most word applications, they are small in size, but hard to modify because of their poor resolution. You may notice a big distortion in your image if you try to scale a bitmap file. The most popular bitmap files are GIF, JPEG, TIFF and BMP.
How can I use vector files?
Vector files are used on specific vector based software applications such as Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw.
How can I use bitmap files?
Bitmap files may be used in a large variety of software applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, Photo Paint or many other programs. They can be opened in most word processing applications such as Microsoft Word and many Web design programs.
When I view my stationery on the web site it seems to have different colors from my original logo design?
For best viewing purposes, we use RGB color mode to present the logo samples to you. It is the main standard for all computer oriented graphics, web included. However, when we work on stationery designs, we have no choice but to convert your logo to either CMYK or Pantone colors (according to your preference). Printers do not work in RGB mode. Slight color shifts may occur. Pantone colors may appear even more different on screen because we match them on the Pantone chart as it will appear when it gets printed. You will get a version of your logo in RGB colors as well.
Furthermore, when you print the file the color will change. (Refer to Why does the color look different when I print it? )
Can I edit my business cards and stationery?
Yes, you can edit, or change all the information on your business card and stationery.
You will need to have Adobe Illustrator, or Corel Draw installed on your computer, because your stationery files are in a vector format.
What are Pantone colors?
Pantone colors is a universal standard. They are used by professional print shops around the world. It helps designers, print shops and customers talk in one language. This type of paint will always look the same color any time you print it.
What is a difference between CMYK and Pantone colors?
CMYK- is a four color process printing technique, widely used in home printers and even industrial printing.
Pros: relatively less expensive; can print in unlimited amount of colors; can be printed on a home computer.
Cons: colors are not very sharp; printed colors almost always will be in different shades (very hard to control the lightness and saturation of the colors each time it is printed); requires a lot of printer calibration; is limited to a less heavy paper stock.
Conclusion: CMYK is preferable for printing in more than 3 colors. It works best for home and office printing, but is not the best solution for professionally printed stationery.
Pantone – is a spot color printing technique, only used in professional print shops.
Pros: colors are very sharp and always accurate for every printing; can be printed in very large quantities; can be printed on heavy paper stock and multiple paper surfaces.
Cons: Not the cheapest solution, as it gets very expensive if used more than 3 colors; not suitable for home office printing.
Conclusion: This is the most recommended printing technique for printing high-quality professional stationery; not good for home printing.
What is the best color mode to use for printing?
We recommend Pantone colors. It is a standard used on every printer in the world that supports spot color process.
When you have your files printed in Pantone colors it will always have exactly same colors. Your home printer can only print in CMYK colors, so we recommend CMYK colors for home printing.
When printing in CMYK – colors will slightly shift every time you print.

Of course! All the material you provide will be integrated into the brochure by the KOA Creatives design team.
How will I be able to use my brochure?
We will provide you with all the editable source files and all the files ready for printing, by sending them to you via e-mail or by mailing you a CD that contains all the information. The advantage of you owning the files in editable format: if you need it in the future, you will be able to use them to modify and tweak your brochure on your own, or by hiring any graphic designer.
How much does it cost to get a custom brochure designed, and what are your payment terms?
The actual price varies depending on the size, type of brochure and the number of pages you want your brochure to have. You can find our price packages in the Brochure design Link or you can request a quote for free. We request a 50% down payment of the total price to start working on the design of your custom brochure, the remaining balance upon completion, before the delivery of the final files. We accept Paypal and 2Checkout payments (online, credit card), checks or ACH/Wire bank transfers.
How long does it take?
The length of time the design process takes is tailored to your time constraints – for example, if you need your trifold brochure to be designed within a week, rest assured you will get it before the deadline; but if you can spare some time to refine it further, we recommend purchasing a design package that will fit your needs. Under normal circumstances, first concepts are delivered within 7 days. Each revision phase usually takes max 2 business days – and 3 business days as a maximum. We also provide a rush service. In this case, the project is assigned a team that is 100% devoted to it, giving it top priority. This service is more expensive and it is only recommended for very tight deadlines (less than 5 business days).
What if I am not satisfied with the work?
If you have purchased a design package with unlimited revisions, you can simply request the design to be revised again. If your solution includes a limited number of revisions, you can pay a small fee for an extra set of concepts or another revision.
Do you print the brochures?
No, we don’t print them. Depending on your location, budget, time and quality requirements, we will recommend printing stores that will fulfill your needs.
Can I go to any Kinko’s, Stapes or similar digital printing stores to print the brochures?
Yes! You can just burn a CD or DVD with the files, save them to a memory card or USB drive, or ask them to directly download the files from us (we will supply the addresses). A digital printing company like Kinko’s or Staples will have your brochures printed within the hour. However, they are only recommended only for small runs, as digital printing can get expensive if printing several copies.
I want to update the brochure you created for me for the next season/year/event! How much would it cost?
First, we would like to have accurate and precise knowledge of the changes you want to make; you will be charged for these changes – this rate will be arranged with you.
What is your rate for hourly work?
If you prefer to hire a specialized brochure designer by the hour, we charge $75/hour.

Web Design Process
When will I get my presentation?
Design samples are usually ready within 14 days after we receive your order, the payment, and all of the necessary information and material.
What is a revision?
Revision is a change to the website design or programming. If there was a mistake on our part, it will not be counted as a revision. Each web design package has a limited amount of revisions included per price. Some small changes can be combined in to one revision.
What is a stock photo?
A stock photo is a photo taken out of a stock portfolio. Each web design package has a limit on the amount of stock photos per project included in the price. We usually search for appropriate images to enhance your website. Sometimes we edit those images to fit your style. You can also provide us with a limited number of your own photographs or images in a suitable format. These will not be counted as stock photos.
What is a content management system (CMS)?
A content management system (CMS) is a way for you to control your site without any prior internet and programming knowledge. You can edit text or replace pictures, sometimes even creating a new page. It is definitely necessary with any e-commerce package.
What is basic content management system?
Basic CMS includes basic control over some content of your site. It is usually a couple of sections on the page (news update) or editing a few online products.
What is extended content management system?
Extended CMS may include unlimited possibilities for you to control your site and e-commerce. It includes editing full content of the pages, adding or removing pages, full control over e-commerce add , edit remove products and categories.
What is e-commerce?
E-commerce is the ability to sell products or services online.
What is basic e-commerce?
Basic e-commerce gives you an opportunity to display a few products or services online with a basic order form checkout option.
What is extended e-commerce?
Extended e-commerce is a complete solution for your online store. It may include the following options: add, edit, or remove products; add, edit, or remove categories; complete shopping cart solution; online tracking and data recording.
